NumMerge Privacy Policy
NumMerge is a puzzle game made by Funtownarcade Games LLC ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the information described here. This policy explains what the game collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. What the game collects
For every player, to run the game:
- An anonymous player ID. Unity Gaming Services signs you in anonymously and creates a random ID. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number.
- Your progress and purchases. Stars, boosters, skins, levels and the records of what you bought are saved with Unity Cloud Save, so a reinstall doesn't lose them.
- Game settings. Unity Remote Config sends the game its current settings (for example prices and level tuning). To do this it receives your player ID, app version and basic device information.
If you are 16 or older and tap "Agree and play":
- Leaderboard scores, saved with the player name the game gives you (for example "WavySingingFlamingo"). You cannot type your own name, so no real name is shown.
- Gameplay statistics, through GameAnalytics: levels started, won and lost, boosters used, stars earned and spent, ads watched, purchases made in the game, and session length. These come with device information: device model, operating system, language, country (estimated from your IP address), and device or advertising identifiers.
- Install source (Android). The game reads the Google Play Install Referrer once to learn which store page or ad campaign the install came from, and records only that channel with the statistics above.
- Personalized ads. See section 3.
If you are 16 or older and tap "No thanks", leaderboards and gameplay statistics stay off. Rewarded videos are still available but are not personalized.
If you tell us you are under 16, leaderboards, gameplay statistics and ads are all off. Only the anonymous player ID, Cloud Save and Remote Config described above are used, plus purchase receipts if you buy something (section 2).
We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
2. Purchases
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles your payment details; we never see them. We receive a purchase receipt (product, order ID, date and price) so we can deliver what you bought and restore it later.
3. Ads
NumMerge shows only rewarded videos that you choose to watch, for example for extra moves. We use LevelPlay (Unity's ad mediation, formerly ironSource) to choose an ad from ironSource Ads and Unity Ads. To show an ad these partners receive: your advertising ID (Google Advertising ID on Android; on iPhone the IDFA, only if you allow tracking), your IP address, device model, operating system, language, approximate location estimated from your IP address, and how you interact with ads.
- Personalized ads (when you agree): the partners may combine this with information from other apps and websites to show ads that suit your interests and to measure them.
- Non-personalized ads (when you say no): the partners still use this information to show the ad, limit how often you see the same one, prevent fraud and count views, but not to build a profile of you.
Our partners process this information under their own privacy policies:
- Unity Technologies (LevelPlay, ironSource Ads, Unity Ads, Unity Gaming Services): https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
- GameAnalytics ApS (gameplay statistics, processed on our behalf): https://www.gameanalytics.com/trust/privacy-faq
4. Why we use it, and our legal bases
- To run the game, keep your progress and purchases, and deliver what you buy (performance of our contract with you).
- To show rewarded videos, keep them working, and prevent fraud (our legitimate interest in funding a free game).
- Leaderboards, gameplay statistics, install source and personalized ads (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
5. Selling and sharing
We do not sell your information for money. When you allow personalized ads, sharing your advertising ID and device information with ad partners may count as "selling" or "sharing" for targeted advertising under some US state laws (such as California's). Turning off "Personalized ads" in NumMerge's Settings opts you out.
6. Your choices
- In NumMerge, open Settings > Personalized ads to turn personalized ads on or off at any time. Videos stay available either way.
- iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking controls whether apps may ask to track you, and whether NumMerge may.
- Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads (or Google > Ads) lets you reset or delete your advertising ID.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. Include the player name from the main menu so we can find your records. We answer within 30 days.
- Uninstalling the game removes everything stored on your device.
- If you are in the EU, the UK or another place with similar laws, you may also object to our use of your information, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Children
NumMerge is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The game asks your age before anything else; players who say they are under 16 get no leaderboards, statistics or ads. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
8. Where it is stored, and for how long
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or similar safeguards. We keep:
- progress and purchase records while you play, and delete them when you ask;
- leaderboard entries while the leaderboards run;
- gameplay statistics for up to 2 years.
Ad partners keep information as their own policies describe.
9. Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored by our providers, who protect it with industry-standard measures.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and show the new version in the game. If a change needs your consent, we will ask again.
